Metal Detecting

The group, has different tasks to be done, when visiting Lithuania. Our detecting group are Andrew, Glenn, Michael and Kenny. Some of our goals, is detecting special areas, pointed from the museum. Giving a presentation and lecture, of the Danish “detecting landscape”, laws and organization.

But most of all, it is a joint venture, we are in Lithuania to listen and to learn, to share and to get new friendships. Where both parties can share knowledge, experiences and maybe a  cup of coffee, then the sun will shine.

Just write to webmaster@zemyna.org  Maybe we could arrange an day/evening for a debate on the similarities and culture differences in our countries in the area of metal detecting.

We will be in Lithuania from 2. May to 10. May and located in the area of Kaunas.

On this blog, you can follow, comment and ask questions to the volunteer work, between Denmark and Lithuania. One of the goals is getting inspired, getting interested in archaeology and history, and discover connections.

If you are interested, it will be possible to follow the volunteers’ diary from 21. April to 31 may, were the Danes a visiting Lithuania. Also from 4 of September to end September, it is possible to follow the volunteers from Lithuania and there experiences.
